Janet, Temeah, Cherie, Suzanne, and who ever else helped out (that would not include Clay):
Thank you for all of your work in putting together a great weekend! It was great to catch up with many of our classmates. Let's continue to stay in touch!
If any of you are ever in the Pensacola area (we do have the best beaches), please let me know. You can reach me at pcola_johnnycarr@yahoo.com.

Final Week!!!
We are now in the final week leading up to our "20 Year Reunion!" Let me say how excited all of us are about finally getting to the actual party-filled weekend. We've added one additional event...Friday evening we are going to be meeting at Top Of The River at 6:00 for dinner and most people that we've heard from are going to try to find other plans for their kids. I know a lot of you have kids involved in a gazillion things, but if you don't have anything else to do, please join us! It is homecoming at Saks (perfect timing, but we really had no idea!) and our plan is to hit the ballgame around halftime to catch the end of the game. Saks beat the Welborn Panthers this week, so we are hoping to see a great game! Can't wait to see everyone next weekend!

Crunch Time!!!!
Hello All!!!
It's time to get those forms and money to Temeah...we are starting to get a little panicky about meeting deadlines and deposits. If you haven't filled them in and sent them back, please do so as soon as possible. It is going to be a ton of fun and will not be the same without YOU!

20 Years Already?
Well, well. I hate that I missed our 10 year reunion. I will try to make it this time! Here's the condensed version of my life after Saks: After graduation I went to Salt Lake City to study Fashion Merchandising at LDS Business College. I transferred after a year to the University of Utah (Go Utes!). I came home for Christmas one year and married Troy Haney from Lincoln in 1991. We have moved to Sterrett, AL; Orem, UT; Leeds, AL; St. George, UT; Kingsland, GA; Greenwood, SC; Ninety-Six, SC; then here to good ol' Misery. I mean, Missouri. We have 4 daughters, ages 8, 11, 14, and 15. I think my favorite place we have lived is Kingsland; we were only 20 minutes to some beaches and we spent alot of time there boogie boarding. My regret: I didn't learn to surf. I haven't worked until we moved here, where I worked at an Elementary School doing Lunch/Recess Duty. It's just what it sounds like. It was alot of fun. Then I started working at the local branch of our county library here and love it. I want to work at a library forever. Love the order, the quiet, the books...it's great. So that's me! Hope to see you in September!

Karen Crenshaw Brown
Hello everyone! It has been a long time. I married Frankie Brown from Wellborn in 1995. We don't have any children but have several neices and nephews we adore. I still live in Saks. I am currently employed at Ideas Plus where I work for my mother-in-law. I am a customer service/sales person. We sell advertising specialties such as pens, keychains, stadium cups etc. We also do embroidery and screen printing for apparel items. I have had the pleasure of seeing some 0f you in recent years there. I was the manager at GNC for several years where I also got to see many of you. I have recently started teaching Sunday school at my church. Maybe I will be able to attend the reunion. I have really enjoyed the blog and pictures. I don't have one to post at this time.
God Bless

Hey everybody.
It is so good to hear from you all. I have missed seeing and talking to you over the last 20 years (hurt to say that). We are in Hartsville, South Carolina, where I am the Minister of Education and Youth at West Hartsville Baptist Church (thanks to Janet for making "Girls just want to have fun" blast on my computer when I opened the blog at church - just kidding, you did a great job, Janet) and my wife Genie is Public Relations Coordinator for Agape Hospice. Check out our youth ministry's web page at WHBCYouth.org. I am enjoying my ministry and family, building furniture in my shop, relaxing at times, and looking forward to learning to scuba dive this summer. We have been here in Hartsville for ten years and have a ten-month-old son named Nathan. He is a blast. He wakes up moving. I really hope to see you all in September. We planned to be out of the country before we knew the date of the reunion, but I am trying to change it. If I miss you, know that I wanted to be there. I pray that God blesses you all richly according to His grace and that His peace and love fill your lives every day.

20 YEARS!! WOW...
I married Scott Morris, class of SHS 1987. We have been married 11 years. We just had our first child, Matthew, in March and are just so excited to have him! We live in Atlanta and have been here for 10 years. I am a nurse in a pediatrician's office but will be taking some time off to be a full time mommy! Scott is an architect and also a Major in the army reserve. He served in Afghanistan for one year in 2005. God bless those who serve...we were so glad to bring him home. We pray for the soldiers who defend us and their families! (Welcome home, Clay!!!!)
As many of you remember I went to Germany for three years in 9th grade and came back to graduate at SHS in 1988. This is where I considered home and where all my close friends were...I am really excited to catch up and see all of you in September!

Hey everybody, I am married with 2 teenagers. We moved to Alexandria almost 2 years ago. My son is 17 years old and a senior at Saks High. My daughter is 15 and a sophmore at Alexandria High. My husbands name is Andy, he is from Wellborn.
For the past 7 years I have worked for the state of Alabama at the state prisons performing
X-rays & ultrasounds on the male & female inmates. I use to travel to all 13 prisons from Holman Correctional that is on the Florida line to Hamilton that is on the Mississippi line.
Wow, I could write a book about all the things I have seen (ha, ha). Due to the state changing
medical contracts & the price of gas, 6 weeks ago I resigned my position. Whats really weird
is that I kinda miss it. I am currently employed at Anniston Quality Healthcare in Anniston,
where I am over the Radiology Department. It's kind of boring compared to the correctional facilities but the good thing about it is that I can get to work in minutes instead of hours.
I am looking forward to seeing everybody. See ya'll in September!

Wow I can't believe 20 years have come and gone. I married Tim Norris from school and we have been married 13 years. We have one son Connor (5). He is in Kindergarten at Saks Elementary. We lived in Saks for 6 years then we moved to Alexandria. We both work local, Tim works For Battelle Memeorial and I have worked at Saks Elementary as the school nurse for the last 5 years. Before that I worked at RMC (10 years) and several years with Patient First Health care. Connor is playing T-Ball at Alexandria. Yes I am one of those crazy yelling moms too. Can't wait to see you guys in September.

I can't believe it's been 20 years!! I am so excited about seeing all of you. I am living in Birmingham where I have been for the last 11 yrs (with the exception of 6 months I lived in Memphis; that was an adventure!). I have been working in the mortgage industry for the past 12 yrs. I have traveled to every corner of the U.S. with my job and it has been fun. But staying on the road gets old after a while so I have settled back down to a desk job at HomeTown Mortgage Services in Hoover. I am the Production Manager for their retail division.
I am still living the single life and I have to say I really don't mind. I have a beautiful niece who is 10 and a very handsome nephew who is 8. That's him in the picture with me! I love them like they are my own children. Many of you knew my older brother, Jeff, who has some pretty great kids!! My family (parents, brother, his wife and children) all live in Montgomery and I see them quite often.
I haven't been back to Saks in a long time and I'm really looking forward to it. See you all soon!

The Carr Family
Hello Class of ’88! It is so hard to believe that we are 20 years out!
I married Beth Parris from Pleasant Valley 15 years ago. We now have 4 kids. Heather, our oldest, just turned 13 this week. If anyone has any advice about raising a female teenager, please let me know… Jared is 9, James is 6, and Xiaoli (say the word "shower" and then substitute “lee” for the “er”) is also 6. Heather and Jared are our biological children and we adopted James (Sept. of 05) and Xiaoli (May of 07). James and Xiaoli are both deaf and are both from the Henan Province of China. We always get asked, “Are they twins?” Our reply is, “They are now.”
After 14 years of working full time as a minister, I now work for Bethany Christian Services. We are based out of Grand Rapids, MI but I get to work from my home in Pensacola, FL. I travel to our offices around the country helping them to build relationships with churches. Through these relationships I consult with churches on how to build orphan and adoption ministries.
Beth is a deaf educator in Pensacola. She works with Middle School and High School deaf students. She is awesome and I am looking forward to her meeting so many of you that she has heard me talk about over the last 15 years.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone!

It is so wonderful to hear from old classmates and read about their families! I can't wait to see everyone Sept. 6th. We had a great time at our 10 year reunion so I know this is going to be great! What an awesome place to have it, Classic on Noble is a beautiful place with delicious food.
Well, I guess I can tell you a little about my life over the past 20 years. It has truly been a roller coaster ride. I married Danny Vaughn, a 1985 Saks graduate, soon after high school while I finished my final years at JSU. We lived in Ohatchee and eventually built a house there in 1994. I graduated in 2 years & 10 months from JSU with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education & Elementary Education. I began teaching at Oxford Elementary School in 1990 and I have been teaching there now for 17 years. I graduated from JSU in 1996 with my masters in Early Childhood. I have spent all of my classroom time in kindergarten! My career is very stressful but very rewarding at the same time. I feel blessed to have been apart of so many children's lives. It has been wonderful having my friends' children. I had Kennedy Holcomb (Dennis & Dawn's middle child), Cole & Keaton Hazel (Tara Waddell's children) and I have Brinley Parke this year, (Aaron Parke's daughter) That has been a lot fun! Danny and I had 3 children together. Jessica is now 14 years old and in the 9th grade at Oxford High School. This will be her second year as an OHS Majorette. She will be driving in June so watch out! Aaron is our middle child. He is 12 years old and in the 6th grade at C.E. Hanna Elementary. Peyton is my baby. He is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade at OES. Both boys play basketball and baseball. We spend a lot of time at the ballpark. Danny and I purchased a daycare in 1997, Lad & Lassie Daycare in Saks. We owned it for about 10 years before we sold it. That was a big challenge in our life. We were both trying to work full time jobs and raise 3 children. That eventually got the best of us and we divorced in 2004. He is happily married to Dawne Martin, a 1987 Saks graduate and they have one child together. They have 6 children total under the age of 14! :) I remarried in 2005 to Glenn Magee of Ashland. We live in Oxford so now I am only about 5 minutes away from my school, instead of 30 minutes away. :) Glenn has 2 grown sons, Chad who is 33 years old and Caleb who is 19 years old. Chad is getting married on May 24th so we will soon have a new daughter-in-law, Sharon Magee. He and Sharon live in Atlanta. I love both boys like they belong to me. Caleb lives with us full time and goes to school at Gadsden State. He works at Logan's at night. It is an adventure trying to raise 4 children and keep up with all of their activities. I am very proud of all of their accomplishments. Glenn and I both love music and we attend a lot of concerts! He is a huge parrothead!!!!!!!! We also love the beach and we try to go at least 3 times a year. We hope to eventually retire there. I enjoy scrapbooking and gardening when I get a chance. I would love to hear from my friends! Listed below is my email address and my myspace. See you soon! Tammy

Hey, everyone~
I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! I feel so old! My husband, Richard, and I just celebrated our 13th anniversary. We have 2 girls, and they keep us busy! Madeline is 9 and in the 3rd grade. Margaret Allen is 6 and in kindergarten. Both girls play soccer, softball/t-ball and take baton lessons. We are also very involved in our church. I worked at Saks Middle School right after college and then moved to Fort Payne where we have lived all our married life. I have taught at Fort Payne Middle School for the past 13 years and truly love my job! I teach 7th and 8th grade Computer Education I and II. I’m sure you just gave the response I get every time I tell that. Actually for 13 and 14 year olds, they are very good students and I can’t see myself doing anything else. I do quite a bit at the middle school from sponsoring clubs to the school newsletter to the school’s website. It’s amazing – the kids try to pull the same tricks we all did when we were in middle school. Some things don't change! When there is spare time, we enjoy getting away whether its the beach or the mountains. Can't wait to see everyone!

I'm not quite sure how 20 years can go by so fast! It took forever for the 16th birthday to get here and now we're all approaching 40...
We moved from Anniston to Pleasant Valley almost 3 years ago...It's great being out of the BIG city. I have been teaching in Calhoun County for 13 years...the first 8 at Saks Middle and Elementary. For the past 5, I've been at Pleasant Valley Elementary School ~ where I am now the librarian! It's definately not your ordinary library....we FORBID whispering...we play loud music...and dancing to the cha-cha slide is a must when it makes its round on the CD! :) Alan and I are working on our 16th year. We have one son, Jack Henry, who is six. Don't know about you all, but I'm loving the 80's fashion coming back in style. It's funny to see kids wearing things we once did. Although I have yet to see the big hair...wonder why?
If there's ever any extra time we head to the beach...Jack Henry is playing his 2nd year of t-ball...I never thought I would ever be a crazy yelling baseball parent, but here I am and I love every minute of it.
Look forward to seeing ya'll soon!

Where do I begin!
I have lived in Montgomery for 17 years. For the majority of that time, I was a banker for Colonial Bank, then, I decided to go to law school. I am now an attorney (as of September 2007) and working on establishing my own law practice.
I got married in May 2005 to a Montgomery native, Greg Pool, who is also an attorney (actually he is the reasons I caught the legal bug and changed professions). We do not have any children at this time but we are eager to get on the Alabama adoption list in May (after our third anniversary). We do have two cats that believe they are our children though! Also, I have four nephews, three nieces and one GREAT-niece that have brought tons of joy to my life.
I am really excited about catching up with everyone. I cannot believe that it has been 20 years!

The Fields Family

Well where do I begin. Tanya and I have been married 19 years now. Our eldest son, Spencer, is graduating from high school in 2 months. He will be attending Auburn University next fall on an academic scholarship. (He got it together a lot quicker than I did and I couldn't be prouder). As many of you might remember from our last reunion, we had triplets (2 girls and a boy) that were born in 1998. They are 9 and in 3rd grade (Riley, Makenzie and Hunter). Meanwhile, Tanya has gone back to school at Kennesaw State University an will graduate this spring with a degree in Ealry Childhood Education. She will be teaching next fall.
I have been with IBM since graduating from Auburn in 1995 (13 years now). I am a project manager and still live just outside of Atlanta (Kennesaw, GA). I play golf as much as I can and love tennis. I travel to all Auburn home games every season and have done so for the last 9 years. It has been a tradition for me and Spencer but one that will change next year with him going off to school. That is ok though, my younger son, Hunter, is at the perfect age to start going to every game with me. I take the girls to a few games each year but never to the big ones (Alabama, LSU, Florida, etc).
That is all for now, but I look forward to getting together this fall. I will just have to check the Auburn schedule to make sure that this reunion date does not conflict with a major game.
The Goff Family
Clay and I are the proud parents of 3 boys: Caleb (5), Collin (3), and Caden (2). We are still a military family and are spread all over the world right now. Our home is in Fort Lewis, WA, but the boys and I are currently living with my parents in Anniston, AL while Clay is serving in Tikrit, Iraq. Clay is due home the end of May (whoo-hoo!) and the boys and I plan to head back to Washington State on May 14 to welcome him home. I am a stay at home mom and often wonder what in the world God was thinking when he gave me boys...sports, bugs, and Power Rangers are not my thing. I know it will surprise some of you that I am still not very athletic. (hahaha) I look forward to getting reacquainted with all of you through here, so post!
